The Clay County Spring Cleanup will be held on Saturday. April 14, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. There will be a drop off center at Pierson’s Lumber. This event is Sponsored by the Clay County Solid Waste Authority and REAP.
Acceptable material is as follows:
Appliances (which must be empty with no trash inside)
Air conditioners
Lawn mowers and car engines (all fluids MUST be removed)
Car batteries
Anything metal
Microwaves
Furniture
TVs
Electronics
Mattresses
Rules for tires:
10 tires per person, must show a valid WV drivers license or WV ID with a Clay County address. Only tires from cars and light trucks will be accepted, no heavy truck tires.
No propane tanks will be accepted. No contractors or business owners may participate.
If you have any questions call the Clay County Solid Waste Authority 304-587-4697 and leave a message. Do not drop off anything before 9 a.m. on April 14 or you will be prosecuted.
