Montgomery General Hospital will host the second annual Live Well Be Well Senior Expo in the main lobby of the hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 9a.m.-1 p.m.
This event is to honor our senior citizens age 55 and above and to offer a host of educational activities, entertainment, refreshments, and door prizes. Classes will be available throughout the day to help seniors manage their everyday lives. The classes will be health care, safety, financial planning, dietary and more. A wide variety of vendors will be exhibiting at this event as well, including health care agencies, financial services, service organizations, and the local community college with educational opportunities for seniors.
The Live Well Be Well Senior Expo is made possible by the generous donations of the hospital’s physicians, the city of Montgomery, and local businesses. This year they will also be choosing and honoring the Upper Kanawha Valley Senior of the Year. This award will be given to the senior citizen who continues to contribute to the community and exemplifies the meaning of Live Well Be Well. Nominations will be accepted until Tuesday, October 25; please include the person’s name, address, and in 500 words or less why you believe this person should be named Senior Citizen of the Year and mail to Montgomery General Hospital Senior of the Year, 401 sixth avenue, Montgomery, WV 25136, Attn: Lou Ann Bowen.
