Bobby Goldsboro had a #1 single on the country charts with “Honey.” Did he ever have a #1 single on the rock & roll charts?
Answer to last week’s Trivia: The first #1 hit for this group was actually recorded by sessions musicians Leon Russell, Glenn Campbell, Hal Blane, and Larry Knechtel even though the vocals were recorded by the original members: Jim McGuinn, David Crosby, and Gene Clark. The group was The Byrds. The song was “Mr. Tambourine Man.” (June ’65)
