It was redemption night for the CCHS Panther JV team as they went head to head with the Roane County JV team.
It was an all out storming the beach and establishing a beach head type of game. The defense dug in and was not going to let the Roane JV offense over run them. The CCHS JV boys were fired up and gave no quarter on defense as the hits sounded like car wrecks.
Roane managed to get by the Panther defense one time, but after that gimmie, it was all JV Panthers. The JV Panthers scored twice and had safety, scoring 14 points against Roane and that is the way it ended JV Panthers 14 JV Raiders 6.
This was a great game for the JV – they took back a little of the respect lost last Friday night in the loss to the Raider varsity. Gabe Young and Brandon Rucker were the top dogs scoring both touchdowns.
