With the snow storm affecting school schedules, Batman made another trip to Clay County this week to see the students at H.E. White Elementary.
His message was how to be a positive student and community member. Anti-bullying was at the top of his list of topics, and the kids and teachers alike enjoyed his visit and encouraging words on a positive attitude.
Some positive attitudes that shine through at H. E White are this month’s student of the month winners. 5th grade- Emily Vanella, 4th grade- Cierra Keenan, 3rd grade- Jessica Crites, 2nd grade- Madison Kirby, 1st grade- Caitlin Vanella, K-Eli Gill, and Pre-K- Collin Williams.
Along with the students of the month, this month’s P. E. Leaders are: 5th grade- Jonathan Gandee, 4th grade- Brooke Cliver, 3rd grade- Carleigh Neal, 2nd grade- Madison Kirby, 1st grade- Emma Belt, K- Raiden Gould.
Select students from fourth and fifth grade participated in the county math field day on February 12. Those students were: 5th graders- Anna Johnston, Caitlyn Boggs, Christian Bryant, and Jackson Cliver. 4th graders- Adriana Belt, Javien Shaffer, Blake Nida, and Kaiden Gill.
With students learning positivity, teachers and PTO leaders put together a treat in the afterschool program for students to enjoy. On Wednesday, February 13, students were treated to a dance as part of February’s Parent Literacy Event: Evening of Dancing. Parents and students enjoyed music, dancing, and snacks all provided by the school.
