With family and friends gathered at the court house on Tuesday morning, newly elected town mayor, Beverly Whaling was sworn into office by Judge Alsop. Ms. Whaling signed her name and placed her hand on the bible, as she swore to serve the town of Clay to the best of her ability. Ms. Whaling’s term is from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019. Beverly has many plans for her term as mayor. It will be exciting to see what changes Beverly has in store for the town of Clay.
