Do you love pizza? Do you love ice cream? How about home made pizza and homemade ice cream? Well, I have the place you need to know about! Pizzas & Cream is the place you need to go. Pizzas & Cream is a new little restaurant in Nebo, WV where you can get delicious brick oven wood fried pizza and fresh frozen desserts. After traveling in Italy, Ed Miller, owner of Pizzas & Cream, built the brick oven for fun in his back yard for his family in the summer of 2013. Ed and his wife, Joy shared their pizzas they had made in the brick oven with friends, family and neighbors and had an overwhelming response. Soon after their decision to start a restaurant, Ed sat down with the health inspector for Clay County, Heath Cliver and went over his plans after doing some research to make sure everything met regulations.
Last summer, Ed and his son, Stephen built a building around the brick oven. The pizza dough is a sour dough based crust and an authentic Italian type pizza. There are many different toppings to choose from to make the pizza that’s just right for you. Also, Stephen, Ed’s son just added pepperoni rolls to the menu. While planning for his pizza, Ed decided he wanted to also serve Italian ice and Gelato. Gelato is an Italian type ice cream, sort of like frozen custard. Currently, they have a fresh raspberry gelato that is made from some fresh local raspberries. Ed likes to use as many fresh products for his ingredients as possible. He uses fresh herbs he grows in his own garden. Ed jokes with people who come in that Pizzas & Cream is the only place customers will find wood fired ice cream.
You can choose from Gelato, homemade ice cream, cream ice, Italian ice and many different flavors to choose from. I recommend you try this new restaurant if you are looking for some delicious pizza. Pizzas & Cream is located on 133 Nebo Walker Rd (Tanner Hollow) in Nebo, WV. You can dine in or take out. If you want take out, it is recommended that you call early to reserve your dough for your pizza, especially on weekends.
