On Wednesday night, Feb. 8., two suspects were arrested in connection with a deadly shooting Tuesday on Charleston’s West

Bobby Hall

Side, Charleston Police say.

According to WSAZ News Channel 3, Bobby Gene Hall, 42, and Misty Ann Rucker, 38, were arrested in the Clay area after a high-speed chase on I-79 that involved West Virginia State Police and stretched over several miles and multiple counties, the television station reported.

Both suspects suffered minor injuries in a crash following the chase, according to Charleston Police. They were taken to the hospital.

Hall was wanted on first-degree murder charges in the shooting death of Timothy Jett, 55, of Charleston.

At the time of the television report, victim Audrey Short, 38, was listed in critical condition at a local hospital after the shooting.

Earlier on Wednesday, a $10,000 reward was offered for information leading to Hall and Rucker’s capture.

State Police in Clay County report that the chase began in Big Otter, went down I-79 to the Wallback area, then to Route 36 and Route 4, WSAZ said.

The news station reported that both suspects were captured in Clay on Valley View Drive.

Clendenin Police set up spike strips, and the suspects’ vehicle was eventually stopped by Roane County Sheriff’s deputies and state police. Both of their cruisers were hit, and the Jeep being driven by the suspects ended up on top of the state police cruiser. No deputies or troopers were hurt, and no shots were fired, WSAZ said.

Hall is lodged in the South Central Regional Jail, charged with murder in the first degree. He is listed as having no bond. Rucker is also lodged in SCRJ, charged with first degree murder and accessory after the fact of murder. No bond is listed for her.
