Chelsea Mullins of Clay County finished up her first consistent year running in the West Virginia National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA). Chelsea placed Top 5 of the 2D.
“I am so blessed for my team, I have two amazing horses that gave me this opportunity,” Chelsea said.
Mullins qualified for the 2021 World Championships, which has always been a goal for her. While attending the awards ceremony, the district honored two horses Chelsea lost within months of one another, gathering pictures of the two along with the man who pushed Chelsea to continue with barrel racing, Billy Ross, and added those pictures to the Wall of Fame.
“To have a district that did something so special for me brought a tear to my eye.”
Congratulations Chelsea, and best of luck in the 2021 season!
