King Cove Dance has recently opened up in downtown Clay!
The dance teacher, Terri King, started an activity over the summer at the Clay County Pool for kids who wanted to be a ‘mermaid’ or ‘merman’ or shark. King Cove aquatics became a huge hit for the kids in the county and parents started talking about how they wanted dance options for their kiddos. So, Terri took the interest and ran with the idea and opened a dance studio.
With classes from toddlers all the way up to adults, there is something fun for everyone! Classes include a ballet jazz combo for girls ages 3 to 6, on Thursdays. Youth dance theater for boys, and a youth dance theater for girls. Adult belly dance class is for ages 18 and over. All three of these classes are offered on Fridays. On Sunday afternoons , youth ballet jazz combo (ages 3 to 6), youth dance theater (boys) and youth dance theater (girls), low impact cardio dance work out class, ultra low impact stretch and tone and adult belly dance classes are all offered as well.
Prices range from $30 per month for four classes (1x per week) to $65 per month unlimited classes. There is a onetime per year $25 registration fee. Located on main street in Clay, just down from Clay County Bank and across the road from Nine’s Barbershop, in the old Henry Clay Hotel Building, there is plenty of space for tons of kiddos to come out and dance and have fun!
