An increased police presence was reported at the Clay County High school on Monday morning following an alleged comment made by a student on social media. According to a statement released by the school, “We immediately reported the concerns to the West Virginia State Police, and they immediately investigated the matter.” The school went on to state that law enforcement determined there to was no threat to the school or students, and provided additional police as precaution following the alleged student comment. More information will be available next week as the investigation continues.
