Advantage Valley, Inc. proudly announces its upcoming FASTER WV Build Your Business Workshop, scheduled for Tuesday, May 21 at 6 p.m. The workshop will take place at the Town Hall Community Building, located on the 2nd Floor of 416 Elk Street in Gassaway, WV. Business coaches from the FASTER WV Entrepreneurship Program will be present to discuss free business coaching, business basics classes, and access to capital for the start-up or growth of small businesses in the region. They will provide information to anyone wanting to open or expand a business and learn about the many services of the FASTERWV Entrepreneurship Program. Advantage Valley is offering this workshop to build upon the recreation and tourism investments that have centered around the establishment of the Elk River Trail System, which runs through portions of Kanawha, Clay, and Braxton Counties. Paralleling the Elk River, the Elk River Trail System provides recreation opportunities for anglers, boaters, cyclists, hikers, and equestrians living in or visiting the state. The Trail System is a potential game changer for the communities of Sutton, Gassaway, Clay, and Clendenin.
Advantage Valley’s FASTER WV Program, designed to identify, encourage, and support small business start-up growth, offers coaching, entrepreneurship classes, and access to capital through mini grants and loans. Since its inception, the FASTER WV program has positively impacted over 700 clients, providing more than 6,360 hours of coaching.
