Clay County High School graduate Zack Dobbins is making quite a name for himself in the music industry.
Zack grew up in Procious and graduated in 2019. Music has been a huge part of his life since he was born. His mom, Anna Drake Copeland, would sing in church along with Zack’s grandpa, Dennie Dobbins. This was the start for Zack’s love of music, and he has now turned his passion into something much bigger.
Zack applied for American Idol and attended his first audition earlier this year, where he passed and received a ticket to advance in the audition process. After his second audition he was chosen to advance to the third round of auditions which will be held in Washington, DC. This third round is different in that it will be televised. He had his chance to perform on October 14 and 15, and he also got to meet his judges after the audition.
Zack performed for his hometown at the 2019 Clay County Golden Delicious Festival and is thankful for this opportunity to share his passion of music. Zack has always dreamed of making it big in the music industry and is definitely on the right road to making a name for himself. His mom Anna says, “I have always prayed God would make his dream come true, and wither or not he makes it to Hollywood, I am proud of him and all his hard work.”
