This year’s spelling bee was held on Thursday, Dec. 8. Five students from each elementary school — Clay Elementary, Lizemore Elementary, H.E. White Elementary and Big Otter Elementary — competed in the spelling bee.
For the past several years, Clay Elementary has held the trophy as home of the First Place winner. This year was no different! All the winners from first place to fifth place were from Clay Elementary!
First Place was Dylan McCumbers, Second Place was Laila Varney, Third Place was Madison Paxton, Fourth Place was Gracie Johnson and Fifth Place was Brianna Adkins. With a total of 44 rounds for the whole competition, it was a good one at that.
Congratulations to all
of the winners and Congratulations to all of the competitors!
