Kristie Taylor of Clay has recently completed her student teaching at Glenville State College. Taylor completed her student teaching in Music Education (Pre K-adult) at Roane County High School with Hope Staats. Dr. Gerda Kumpiene and Dr. David Lewis were her GSC supervisors. She is the daughter of Robert and Leilani Taylor and Nancy Taylor, all of Clay, West Virginia. She currently resides in Newton, West Virginia with her fiancée, Alexander.
Taylor has accepted a long-term substitute position in Clay County at Clay County Middle School in middle school art grades 6-8.
Senior teacher education students take part in an internship during their final semester at GSC. At the conclusion of their internship students must complete a presentation illustrating their mastery of the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) standards as well as the standards of their particular area of study.
