Clay County Middle School gets new sign

During the school year, students involved in Clay County Middle School’s Technology Student Association Construction Challenge look for a way to help their community. Many different projects have been done in the years past.

This year, the team consisted of Holt Dawson, Hunter Evans, Jack Haverty, and Brady Jones. They decided to focus on their own school. As they looked around, they presented a couple of ideas to their principal, Leslie Goe.

Building a new sign for the school became the best way they could help, considering the sign in place was originally installed during the 91-92 school year.  The original sign did not have any lights, so the team decided to use solar lights to enhance the sign and be more environmentally conscious.

Pictured is the construction team with BJ Evans, a representative of Advantage Technology who sponsored the team. Great job boys!
