With summer coming to an end before we know it, the Clay County Health Department partnered with Clay County Prevention Coalition and the Clay FRM to sponsor a community pool day for the children of Clay County. Children in the area came out on Tuesday, August 2, to enjoy a fun-filled day of swimming.
Kids stopped by to beat the heat, enjoy some healthy snacks, and be entered to win some great prizes. Two bikes, a kayak, several backpacks, mugs, and travel first aid kits were just a few of the prizes awarded. This event was free to Clay County children and promoted healthy, active lifestyles while having fun doing so.
