The Clay County Commission met on Wednesday, June 28.
A motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting was approved. A motion to approve the bills and purchase orders, as presented, was approved.
A motion to approve erroneous assessments, as presented by the assessor for the following: Johnny Starcher, Misty A. Carson and Connie Preast, was approved. A motion to approve budget revisions for the following offices: county commission, circuit clerk and ambulance service, was approved.
A motion to confirm probating the last will and testament of Olive Virginia Smith Nicholas, deceased, and the appointment of Gladys Gertrude Keith, executrix, was approved. A motion to approve the appointment of Michelle Elaine Clark as administratrix of the estate of James Lloyd Parcell, deceased, was approved. A motion to appoint Wayne King as fiduciary commissioner for the estate of James Lloyd Parcell, deceased, was approved. A motion to approve the request of waiver of final settlement for the estates of Earl Clayton Ferrebee Sr., Juanita Jo Ferrebee, Ruby I. Friend and Erma Radie McCune, deceased, was approved.
A motion to renew a loan at the Clay County Bank for the Clay Ambulance Service, and to designate Greg Fitzwater to sign all loan documents, was approved. A motion to designate the Clay County Bank as depository of county funds for 2017-2018 fiscal year was approved.
A motion to review a paper to determine if it is an original last will and testament for James A. Duffield, deceased, was approved. A motion to approve an equipment lease between Shelby Products LLC and Clay County 911 for three concept seating intensive use chairs, was approved.
