A motion to approve the erroneous assessments as presented by the Assessor was approved. A motion to approve the budget revision for the office of Assessor was approved. A motion to approve the appointment of Carol L. Skinner, Administratrix of the estate of Richard Lee Garvin, deceased, was approved. A motion to approve a request of waiver of final settlement for the estate of Craig Douglas Holcomb, deceased, was approved. A motion to approve a final settlement report for the estate of Cletis Orville Fugate, deceased, and release of Patty A Fugate, Administratrix CTA was approved.
A motion to approve Resolution No. 15 authorizing payment of invoices relating to design, construction and other services for the Park Fork and Independence Road water line extension project was approved. A motion to reappoint Fran King and Stacy King as a member of the Clay County E911 Advisory Board for a term expiring October 26, 2020 was approved. A motion to approve the Equipment Service Contract as prepared by Appalachian Office Products for Savin 3406WD printer located in the County Clerk’s office. Contract is for period ending September 16, 2018 in the amount of $546.00 was approved. A motion to increase the county portion of the excise tax on the privilege of transferring real property by 0.55 cents per $500 value as allowed by Senate Bill 433 was approved. Increase will be effective October 1, 2017. A motion to continue to October 11, 2017 at 9:45 a.m. to hold a public hearing to consider a Block Grant Application Proposal for a Broadband Planning Grant Application was approved.
