Clay County Clean-Up Event Scheduled for April 26

The Clay County Solid Waste Authority is excited to announce the upcoming Clay County Clean-Up event, scheduled for Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., or until the collection trucks are full. The event will take place across from Pierson’s Lumber on Route 16, just below the Clay County Bus Garage.

Residents are encouraged to take part in this community effort to dispose of unwanted items properly.

Items Allowed for Drop-Off:

Empty appliances (must be free of trash)

Air conditioners

Lawn mowers

Car and ATV batteries

Small engines (must be drained of fluids)

Microwaves

Furniture and mattresses

TVs and electronics

Anything metal

Items NOT Allowed:

Propane tanks

Household trash

Vehicles

Contractor or business waste

Important Guidelines:

Early drop-offs are strictly prohibited and may result in prosecution.

No businesses or contractors are permitted to participate.

Volunteers will be assisting with the event, but all participants must unload their own items into the provided trucks or dumpsters. Items that are not self-unloaded will not be accepted.

Additionally, tires will be accepted at Clay County High School during the clean-up event.

The Clay County Clean-Up is an excellent opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted items and contribute to a cleaner, healthier community. For more information, please contact the Clay County Solid Waste Authority.
