The first action item on the agenda was to approve the agenda items. A motion was passed to approve the previous meeting minutes. A motion was passed for the payment of current bills. A motion was made to rescind the transfer/termination of the following professional employees for the 2017-2018 school year was approved. A motion to rescind the transfer/termination of the following service personnel for the 2017-2018 school year was approved. A motion to approve the resignation of Melinda Isaacs as Principal at Clay County High School was approved. A motion to approve the employment of Crystal Gibson as principal at Clay County High School was approved. A motion to approve the employment of Jokwin Schoonover as Title I Intervention at Big Otter Elementary School was approved.
A motion to approve the employment of Angela Nichols as Head Volleyball Coach at Clay County Middle School was approved. A motion to approve the employment of Cathy Craddock as Assistant Volleyball Coach at Clay Middle School was approved. A motion to approve the employment of Allen Tanner as Assistant Principal at Clay County High School was approved. A motion to approve the resignation of Todd Samples as Head Volleyball Coach at Clay County High School was approved. A motion was approved for the resignation of Jamie Taylor as Assistant Volleyball coach at Clay County High School. A motion to approve the employment of Jacee Markle as head volleyball coach at Clay County High School was approved. A motion to approve the employment of Anissa Collins as assistant volleyball coach at Clay County High School was approved.
A motion to approve Jason Triplett who will enter into an interim contract with Clay County Schools for the performance of extracurricular on the following dates: September 1, September 15, September 29, October 13, October 27, 2017 was approved. A motion was approved for Luke Klemanas to be volunteer football coach at Clay County Middle School. A motion was approved for Melody Hubbard as volunteer volleyball coach at Clay County Middle School. A motion was made for JB Electric to complete (FEMA Project) electrical repairs for Clay County High School lower locker area was approved. A motion to approve the transfer of four students from Fayette County Schools to attend school in Clay County was approved. A motion for the transfer of eight students from Calhoun County Schools to attend school in Clay County was approved. A motion for the transfer of two students from Braxton County Schools to attend school in Clay County was approved. A motion for the transfer of two students from Clay County Schools to attend school in Braxton County was approved.
