With an interest in skydiving, rock climbing, white water rafting and kayaking, it would only make sense that Allyson Taylor pursue a minor degree in outdoor recreation, and that is exactly what she is doing. Through that program Ms. Taylor, a senior at Glenville State College, is currently completing an internship with the Business Development Authority in Clay. The ten week program will allow Allyson to work hands on with events and programs that promote outdoor recreation in the county. With the upcoming ElkFest nearing, Allyson’s hands are currently full working on plans and details of the two day event. She does however, plan to organize her own 5K in the near future.
A 2013 graduate of Clay County High School, Allyson is also working her way towards a Doctorate in Behavioral Science. At Glenville, Allyson is very active in extra-curricular activities such as former student government president, a member of the behavioral science club and a member of the science fiction club. Her fresh, youthful outlook will surely be an asset to the BDA and their endeavors.
