On Monday, Feb. 11, the Clay Afterschool Program hosted a Nurses Night at Clay County Middle School.
Afterschool students learned about all the opportunities afforded through a career in nursing. Mrs. Schoolcraft, Brown, Johnson, and Moore all spoke about the duties of their current positions, and informed students about the flexibility a career in nursing can provide them. Current Allied Health students from CCHS spoke to the group about important coursework in which they should enroll during high school and the benefits of participating in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), a national career and technical student organization.
We wish a special thank you to Advisory Council Members Jennifer Moore and Angela Brown for speaking to CCMS students.
