92 years ago, in 1924, Camp Creek bridge was built. This past week, it began to come down. Over the years the bridge has sustained much wear and tear and weather damage, and it began to become unsafe. During the flood of 2016, the waters rose high and the safety of the bridge became unacceptable. Last year, a new bridge began being constructed after the old bridge was ruled as unsafe, with only foot traffic allowed on the old bridge. Teresa Davis has sent in multiple photos of the progress of the removal of the old Camp Creek Bridge, thank you, Teresa!
There will be a bridge dedication in November. As soon as a date is set and more information is provided, we will publish the information.
