Clay County Board of Education met at Big Otter Elementary on Monday, December 18, 2017. The agenda was approved, as well as minutes from the previous meeting.

A motion to approve the employment of Sherri Ramsey as After School Math/STEAM teacher (two nights a week) at Lizemores Elementary School, was approved. A motion to approve Variety Wood and Window to install vinyl plank flooring at the Clay County Board of Education Office (FEMA Project), was approved. A motion to approve the purchase of vinyl plank flooring from Nitro Carpet Outlet for the Clay County Board Office was approved. A motion to approve the overnight/out of county trip for the Travel WV Students and Chaperones at Clay County High School to The Greenbrier on January 27, 2018 – January 29, 2018 for the Hospitality University participation, was approved.
