Students in Mrs. Gross’ class at Big Otter Elementary School completed an awesome STEM project involving the Mayflower and pilgrims! STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. After doing research, students had to construct a ship (the Mayflower) and determine what boat design would hold the most pilgrims, which were represented by pennies. The best design held 181 pilgrims without sinking.
