American Medical Facilities Management (AMFM) is based in West Virginia and was founded by John and Fonda Elliot in 1982.
AMFM is West Virginia’s leader in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care services. There are 18 care facilities throughout WV where care is provided for more than 1,200 patients.
“Our mission is to exemplify excellence in quality care to our customers by providing and environment that enhances personal growth, individuality, dignity, and respect,” says the AMFM website.
AMFM believes has received national awards from numerous associations. They have won 28 National Quality Awards and the Bronze and Silver levels. The AMFM Charitable Foundation, INC. began in 2009 to provide each AMFM center the ability to enrich their communities directly with financial donations to local charities and groups. The foundation raises money throughout West Virginia. They assist food pantries, local volunteer fire departments, libraries, women’s shelters, churches, hospitals and other organizations. To date, more than $500,000 has been presented to local organizations throughout the state.
This past week AMFM was proud to present the Clay County Intermediate Football with a check for $500 to assist in uniform costs.
