Allen King announces Sheriff candidacy

Allen King

Hello residents of Clay County. My name is Allen King, and after a lot of praying I’ve decided to run for Sheriff. With the social distancing in place I’m unable to campaign door to door like I had hoped. I think this is one way to tell you a little about myself.

I’m the son of Oscar and the late Margaret (Peggy) King. I’ve been a Clay County resident my whole life other than the years I was in the Army, where I served in Desert Storm. I will be the father of five after the adoption is final. God has blessed me with three grandchildren (so far).  The most important thing about me is that I’m a born again God fearing Christian that gives God all the praise and glory for my life. I’m not perfect. I’m just forgiven.

I’ve been involved in the Clay County Youth Basketball League for over 20 years.

Clay is home and I’ll always work hard to help make it succeed. No, the town is not the same as when I grew up in it, but unfortunately life changes and we need to work together to find the best way to help our community be safe and successful again, and the best way to do that is to always vote in the elections. Your vote matters and I would greatly appreciate your vote for Clay County Sheriff.
