Over the past week, our emergency service personnel and the state road have been hard at work. They have worked long hours during the day and all night some nights with little to no rest. From having to help with a car wreck, going to help someone who was hurt or is sick and taking them to the hospital, to cutting out trees in the road and helping people who may be stuck in their homes from high water, whatever it is that our emergency service personnel do, we as the people of Clay County are very thankful for their services. Although if the weather is not bad like it has been this past week, we always need to thank them because they are always there to help and lend a hand, not just when the weather is bad.
This week my human interest story isn’t just about one person, it is to all the Firefighters, EMT’s, etc. So, to Lizemores Station 40 Fire and EMS members, Clay Station 20 members, Clay EMS, Big Otter Station 30 members, the power company linemen, Asplundh, and all the others who volunteer their time to help others in emergencies or severe weather, THANK YOU for all that you do!
