West Virginia residents can begin applying for school clothing vouchers for eligible children on July 1. Vouchers are to be used to purchase clothing necessities for school age children. Each eligible child will receive a $200 voucher.
Children in foster care and children in families who currently receive cash assistance from WV Works automatically qualify for voucher assistance. Other families could be eligible if they meet income guidelines. For more information, visit the Clay DHHR office at 94 Main Street or by call 304-587-4268.
July 31 is the deadline to submit applications. Families must use the vouchers at participating stores by Oct. 31.
