Dear Citizens of Clay County,
I am excited to announce my candidacy for Clay County Assessor. I want the residents of Clay County to know that I will serve the public interest by overseeing the important duties and responsibilities that must be carried out by the county assessor. I will work to find the necessary finances to maintain the operations of the assessor’s office.
Our county deserves someone who understands the process of the county assessor. I have worked closely with the assessor’s office for nine years in my current position in the Sheriff Tax office. I have hands on experience working with the assessor’s office. My current position public service and community involvement by the following: :
I have 9 years in the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept. as Tax Deputy; 6 years at the Clay County Board of Education CDL sub-bus driver; 5 years, Clay County Golden Delicious Festival Apple Belle Coordinator and have volunteered for the Wallback Lake Fishing Derby.
I am a lifelong resident of Procious in Clay County,. I have been married for 26 years to Howard “Howie” Davis and we have one daughter, Holly. I am a Christian and attend Living God Worship Center, Camp Creek. I am an avid hunter, and enjoy turkey and deer season, along with my family. I am a 1984 graduate of Clay County High School. After graduation I went to work in Clendenin for Farmer & Citizens State Bank, which later merged with Bank One, as vault teller and later became branch manager with 12 years of service. Then I worked for City National Bank in Charleston, in the Secondary Mortgage Dept as a Loan Review Analyst with 3 years of service. Then in 2005 I came back to Clay County and worked at Clay County Bank as Customer Service Representative -Teller. In July 2006 came to work in the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept as Tax Deputy, which is my current position.
My work experience speaks for itself. I have been a public servant for Clay County and I want to continue as your new county assessor. I seek your support and I am committed to serve the Citizens of Clay County. On May 10, 2016 ELECT the right choice.
