New River Gorge Bridge Day is just around the corner, and BridgeJam is the perfect complement!

The BridgeJam, Bridge Day’s premier Music Festival, will be making its third appearance on October 20 and 21 2017 in Fayetteville, West Virginia. Within walking distance of Bridge Day events, including “The Bridge”, BridgeJam promises to provide an exciting addition to the fall festivities in and around the Fayetteville area.

Bill Wells, co-owner and local Fayetteville business owner relayed, “We’re providing a Shuttlebus service, to and from the surrounding area, including a Shuttle BACK to the North side of the Bridge/River for those folks that walked into town across The Bridge during Bridge Day®activities. Camping is on-site, with of course, the best location for campers in Fayetteville. We’re within walking distance of everything that’s going on! We have live music, with six bands. Headlining Saturday Night is the Grammy nominated band The Georgia Satellites along with The Hill Benders performing their Bluegrass rendition of The Who’s Tommy. Matt Mullins and the Bringdowns are playing earlier on Saturday. Seldom Scene, widely known in the Bluegrass community, will be headlining Friday night with The Native Howl, a “Thrash Grass” band and Step Into the Blue playing both Friday and Saturday.”

The BridgeJam Music Festival is held on the Cascade Festival Grounds, historically known as the “old Gaines Estate properties”. The fun begins in the early evening on October 20 and goes on through Saturday night, October 21 2017.

“We’re experiencing an uptick in ticket sales this year,” said Richard Stephens, event co-owner. “2017 is forming up to be a record year for The BridgeJam. There’s lots of scuttle going around and we’re happy that folks are becoming more engaged with what we’re doing. We’re seeing more and more return attendance from previous year’s performances and that’s a great thing!”

The BridgeJam is partnered with the Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) this year as their primary sponsor, along with various local and State-wide businesses. Many vendors will be participating to round out the experience with refreshments. The WVU Alumni Tailgate Trailer will be on-hand, so that attendees won’t have to miss the game while they’re enjoying the outdoor experience at this year’s BridgeJam!
