It was smack down time at CCMS as the Calhoun Red Devils came to the Mustangs’ home turf wanting to clean house. From the beginning, it looked as though the Red Devils would run the courts and walk off winners. The Mustangs, however, had their own plans. The Mustangs came out not firing on all cylinders but quickly got back in the game with some great defense on the perimeter and in the paint. They also had a slow start getting numbers on the board with only nine points in two periods. However, at the half, they put their scopes on, zeroed in on the net and ran away with the scoreboard scoring 21 points in the 3rd period and ten more in the 4th smoking the Red Devils by the score of 40-31. Hunter Jones was top gun hitting for 15 points followed close by Gabe Young with 12 points. Grant Krajeski, Noah Atha, and Caleb Burdette added the rest of the points. The Mustangs will be at home on the 9th of February to take on Walton, game time 6PM.
