The Lady Panthers opened up on the road in Lewis County to take on the Lady Minutemen in a volleyball matchup. This game, like several others, is a great rival game and is always full of action. The Lady Panthers are led by Coach Anissa Collins with an assist from Angela Nichols. This Lady Panther team is destined to be something great if this season continues. The varsity team is made up mainly of seniors, and each one of them is tough as nails and are big hitters and diggers.
It was a best out of five matchup against the Lady Minutemen, and the Lady Panthers didn’t need the extra games to bring home the win; they did it in three straight, 25-14, 25-15, and 25-23, literally wiping the gym floor with their opponents. They made very few mistakes and picked up the pace as the match continued. The Lady Panthers clicked on all cylinders and did everything right with precise blocking, killing, digging and serving.
The Lady Panthers never looked back from the starting whistle and coasted through to a win. All the Lady Panthers look as though their skills are set, oiled and greased for the up and coming season, however many games they get to play. It was a long drive up but well worth it, notching the easy first season win on Lady Minutemen real estate. The Lady Panthers will celebrate the seniors on Monday night due to the shortened and questionable schedule. It is supposed to be a tri match, but at this point, it is undetermined. Come out and support the team and the seniors. Good luck Lady Panthers!
