In yet another effort to flush the Queen Shoals PSD water system of the contaminate MCHM, officials with the National Guard were in town Thursday and Friday afternoons. The meter provided to Queen Shoals PSD by West Virginia American Water was removed to ensure that Queen Shoals PSD could perform large volume flushing without being charged for the water used to do so. Water testing was to be done at H.E. White Elementary after the mass flushing was complete, however results of the samples were unavailable at press time.
