Clay Yak Rentals was established in 2020 with the idea to bring a quality kayak rental service to the Clay area. Owners Melody and Aaron Cottrell believe that offering the best rentals can make a big difference in the lives of their customers.
Rental rates include the kayak, paddle, life jackets, and safety whistle. Clay Yak Rentals is offering three sizes of sit-on kayaks. Each kayak has a different weight limit. Finding the right kayak for your height and weight is important for safety, and they will verify this information at the time of booking.
To better service their customers, they prefer a 24-hour advance booking to ensure your equipment is ready and to prevent any delays. Customers are welcome to call and verify if same day rentals are available, but cannot be guaranteed. All renters must sign a rental agreement and waiver. They will also be asked to verify age and for a valid photo ID.
The COVID-19 guidelines are still in effect at this time, leaving the shuttle service currently unavailable. A grab and go option is available, and they can offer a drop off/pick up option for customers that can not transport equipment.
Pick-up will be from 9 to 11 a.m., and drop off returns must be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. Single Kayaks rent for 8hrs-$30, and Tandem Kayaks 8hrs-$60.
