On Friday, May 22, 2015, students from Clay Elementary joined in the courtyard to sing for a Memorial Day ceremony. Veterans were there to salute the flag and hang a wreath in front of the memorial. Students from Mrs. Salisbury, Mrs. Cliver, Mrs. Philips, Mrs. Hundley, and Mr. Krauklis’ classes sang and spoke a part on the importance of Memorial Day. As we celebrate this Memorial day, don’t forget to remember the veterans who gave up their lives for our freedom. Thank you to all of the men and women who have served, are serving or who will serve to protect and defend our country!
