On July 11, Clay County, North Carolina sent a huge truckload of flood supplies to Clay County, West Virginia for victims of the devastating flood that ravaged our state. Lorrie Ross, newspaper correspondent for the Clay County Progress of Hayesville, NC spearheaded the campaign to collect supplies to aid her sister county.
Making the nine and half hour trip in a giant U-Haul were Pam Roman, head of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce in Hayesville NC, Clay Logan and his grandson Coy Logan, Bob Hughes and Crystal Bragg Sparks. We are grateful for the concern and needed supplies that were donated. Many thanks to Clay County NC from Clay County, WV!
