Clay Commissioners held their first December meeting on the Wednesday the 9th.
Accompanying the regular action items on the agenda, the request of waiver of final settlement for the estates of Mary Elizabeth Varney Vaughn, Virginia J. Carr, and Everett C. Eagle, Sr., deceased were approved. Phyllis June Thorne was approved as Administratrix of the estate of Bobby Dale Tanner, deceased. Shirley L. Young, approved as Administratrix of the estate of Charles W. Young, deceased. Craig Phillip Ramsey, was approved as Administratrix of the estate of Ronald Dale Ramsey, deceased. Deanna Critchley was approved as Administratrix of the estate of Harlan Mark Taylor, deceased. James Wilson Douglas, Administratrix of the estate of Mary Louise Douglas.
An audit report for the Clay County Magistrate Court for period ending December 31, 2014 was approved. A motion to approve the “Community Service Standards” for defendants performing community services as presented by Judge Facemire, which requested that the commission pay for the lunch of the Community Service workers at the court house failed to pass. Roberta Faile’s resignation as a member of the Clay County Business Development Authority was accepted.
A motion to advertise for bids to sell timber located on a tract of 34.5 Acres Waters of Buffalo and Elk, Surface was approved. This is located at the old garbage dump in Ivydale. The timber will only be cut down to 14” of diameter, nothing smaller. The ad will run in the paper for bids to be submitted by December 31st and the commission will award the highest bidder in January. The next commission meeting will be at regular time of 10:00am at the courthouse. All are welcome to attend.
