Clay High student Paige Stewart and her sister twirlers, known as Chicks with Sticks, recently held a baton and color guard clinic at Braxton County High School. The twirlers were taught by WVU Feature Twirlers who worked on instructing techniques such as field tricks, competition tricks, one baton, two batons and three batons. The WVU Color Guard taught flags, rifles and sabres. Approximately sixty girls from the area attended the clinic. Chicks with Sticks members, as well as the WVU Feature Twirlers, Paige Stewart, Kristen Cox, Grace Hamon, Joy Ramsey, Sarah Burroughs and Savannah Rose will be traveling to Disney World on February 14 to compete in the international ESPN World Wide of Sports event.
