Winners of the spelling bee were:
Co-winners: Gracie Johnson (Clay Elementary) and Brianna Adkins (also Clay Elementary)
Second place: Luke Hill (Clay Elementary
Third place: Gracey Champ (Big Otter Elementary)
Fourth place: Braelyn Adkins (Clay Elementary)
With 13 total rounds, the spelling bee contestants put up a good competition for each other. When it came down to the finals two contestants, Gracie Johnson and Brianna Adkins, they were excellent with their spelling game that the judges ran out of words to give them, so they are both the first place co champions for the 2017-2018 county-wide elementary competition.
