The excess levy for the Clay County Board of Education has passed.
With around 800 residents coming out to vote, the numbers were 471 for the levy and 329 against.
The levy does not mean an increase in taxes, it is just a continuation of the current levy that has been in effect.
According to Clay County Superintendent Joe Paxton, the levy funds are set to be used for building maintenance and repairs, including flood repairs, and student activity buses, among other things.
