Brian Adkins, 48, of Clay County, finally received his court sentencing this week admitting to charges of molesting a juvenile in his care on several different occasions. After several delayed court hearings, a psychiatric evaluation was performed and determined that Adkins would “rather be with children than with an adult.”
Adkins was sentenced up to 20 years behind bars. After his release, he will be under court supervision for the following 50 years. Adkins will also be required to register as a sex offender.
