You are not going to want to miss this pageant! Local men, 18 years of age and older, are invited to compete in a “pageant” during the Elk River Fest to win the title of “Mr. Bottom Feeder” for 2014. Dressed in their best fishing gear, contestants can strut their stuff to win the coveted title. At the end of Part I of the pageant (5:15 on Friday, June 6), contestants will be given buckets to take up collections to go toward the purchase of a town clock. Collections will continue on Saturday morning. During Part II of the pageant (2:45 on Saturday, June 7), the contestant with the most money will be dubbed Mr. Bottom Feeder, 2014. Mr. Bottom Feeder, 2014 will win a brand new kayak, a ginormous trophy and a six month subscription to the Clay County Free Press.
Bottom Feeder contestants are asked sign up at the Fest information booth by 4:45 on Friday, June 6. Come out and support your favorite Bottom Feeder while helping a great cause!
