The CCHS cross country team ran their legs off this past week at the LKC Championships.
The Cross Country team has grown in the last two seasons and has become a formidable bunch of runners. Cross Country is one of those endurance sports that recalls every ounce of determination and discipline a runner can muster from start to finish. CCHS has some good ones. For the first time they will be testing their skills in the Region III competition at Pikeview High School against some of the best athletes on a Cross Country course.
Trevor Armes, soon to become a household name, placed ninth overall at the LKC meet and was named to the 1st Team All LKC, an honor given only to the best. At the regional meet they will compete for a berth in the state finals, and if they make it here, it will be the first time in school history they would run in the state finals.
Congratulations to Trevor for his naming to the 1st team and to the rest of the team on a great season so far.
