Will you help “Strike Out Drugs” in our community? Through a partnership with the Trooper Eric Workman Foundation and the Clay County Little League, the message on Super Saturday, April 18th will be aimed at informing the youth of Clay of the importance of being drug free. All little league players will receive water bottles and drug-free pledge cards that day as part of an effort to keep Eric’s dream of a drug free community alive.
But in order to bring this idea to fruition and make the biggest impact, the Trooper Eric Workman Foundation is asking that area businesses help get the drug-free message out into the community. As everyone knows, children from all over the county travel to the Dundon for Super Saturday, passing many businesses en route to the field. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the businesses of Clay County purchased a “Strike Out Drugs” sign to display on their store fronts and windows for those little eyes to see as they drove past?
Here’s your chance to make a difference. The Trooper Eric Workman Foundation is selling banners that convey the drug-free message as part of their Super Saturday community event for businesses to do just that. Don’t want to display a sign? Maybe you could consider offering a discount or a gift from your business to any child who shows their water bottle or drug-free pledge card. Any type of support to show the youth of Clay County that drug-free is the way to be would be greatly appreciated. If you or your business is willing to participate, please email rebecca.king@eworkman.org with your business name and the details of how you wish to participate. The deadline to order banners is April 8th, so contact Rebecca now to help “Strike Out Drugs” in Clay County.
