New businesses coming to a town always bring a ray of light and hope for a small town that is struggling in many different areas. When a new business opens in a building that has sat empty for years, but was once full of life and activity, memories come back to when times were different.
Speedy Tags & Title Service, a new business that has came to Clay, is owned by Eric and Michelle Williams. Speedy Tags & Title Service is here to serve the residents of Clay County so they don’t have to travel to Charleston to sit at the DMV, possibly for a lengthy time. Speedy Tags & Title Service offers licenses and registration, transfers titles, orders plates and temporary plates, transfers plates, administers changes of address, and more. You fill out all the paper work/information at Speedy Tags & Title Services and, twice a week, Debbie Ferrebee, office manager, will make a trip down to the DMV and everything will be processed as normal, saving you a trip and a long wait.
Speedy Tags & Title Service has all the forms and papers that the DMV would have, and all the same guidelines have to be followed. As Speedy Tags & Title Service finds out the feel of the community, later on they will fluctuate to the needs of the county.
Speedy Tags & Title Services is located at 138 Main Street in Clay, just down from Clay County Bank and across the road from Nine’s Barber Shop. Their hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10a.m.-5p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The phone number is 304-587-8247 and their fax is 304-587-7961. Call if you have any questions or stop in to see them, and they will be happy to help you!
