Neighboring the northern part of Clay County is Braxton County and recently a new grocery store opened in Gassaway. Formerly known as Facemire Foodland, and in the same location, is a new store called Shoppers Value, under the same management. Officially opening in late February, the store is a big hit with long time customers and newcomers with the extremely low prices they offer. There is a section in the new store called the 88 cent section where it offers a huge selection of merchandise is available at the low cost of just 88 cents. “Shoppers Value Stores have been a big hit in the Southern part of the United States for 35-40 years” said Facemire Foods Vice President, Corey Facemire. Shoppers Value offers customers can expect substantial savings while shopping at the newly converted store. The store runs on a cost plus 10 percent pricing schedule.
