Red Cross Continues to Assist Impacted Individuals

The American Red Cross continues to serve the communities of Alderson, Amma, Bethel, Big Otter, Birch River, Caldwell, Camden-on-Gauley, Clendenin, Elkview, Erbacon, Gauley Bridge, Hico, Ivydale, Mount Pleasant, Nallen, Neola, Nuttel, Oak View, Queen Shoal, Rainelle, Renick, Richwood, River Haven, Ronceverte, Rupert, Tallcot, White Sulphur Springs and others.
As of July 1st, the American Red Cross has provided over 1,500 overnight stays, facilitated the delivery of more than 65,000 meals and snacks. There are five feeding sites and twenty-eight emergency response vehicles providing mobile feeling into the impacted communities. There have been almost 700 Red Cross workers including more than 600 volunteers assisting those impacted.
For anyone impacted by the flooding, please call the American Red Cross Disaster Hotline at 1-855-224-2490.
For anyone who would like to help, please call 1-800-REDCROSS or visit www.redcrosswv.org.
People can donate to those affected in the West Virginia Floods by visiting redcross.org and selecting WV Floods, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting the word WVFLOODS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Donations to West Virginia Floods enable the Red Cross to help people prepare for, respond to and recover from these disasters.
There is a Red Cross Feeding Location for Clay County at Bethel Community Church, 3725 Bomont Road, Bomont, WV 25030
There are Red Cross Supply Distribution locations at  Bethel Community Church, 3725 Bomont Road, Bomont, WV 25030; Clay County at Clay High School, 1 Panther Drive, Clay WV 25053; Casework Service Center: Clay Health Center, 1053 Clinic Rd., Ivydale.  Hours: 9:30 am – 7 pm.
Casework Service Center: Queen Shoals Full Gospel Church, 5 Queen Rd., Clendenin.
