There was standing room only as the Clay High auditorium filled one by one with friends and neighbors of the tightknit Clay community, all coming together to heal after tragedy struck our town once again. Exactly one week after a terrible car accident killed seventeen year old Kara Conley and injured ten others, a prayer service was organized to spread the feeling of love and faith as a form of healing. Pastors from across the county joined their congregations in the auditorium, speakers and singers relayed the message of love and comfort and a community grieved together.
“We as a county want to bind together and strengthen those families that were hurt ,” said Pastor Daniel Tanner of the Fola Missionary Baptist Church. And that is exactly what they did.
